The City of Bainbridge Island owns a 13.78-acre property at the southeast corner of Sportsman Club Road and New Brooklyn Road, commonly referred to as the Suzuki Property.  The property is currently undeveloped and wooded, except for walking trails and a pond along the south boundary.


Several years ago, the Bainbridge Island City Council did extensive outreach to gather community input on the future use of the property. This public process helped the Council establish a path to move forward with the development of the property. As part of the plan, approximately 65% of the property will be maintained in undeveloped open space and 35% of the site will be developed for permanent affordable housing.


The City of Bainbridge Island hired Olympic Property Group (OPG) as lead consultant to take the project through formal site planning and preliminary project approval. Actual development of the project is not part of OPG’s contract and will occur as a separate process.


This website, maintained by OPG, will serve as a resource for project information, announcement of meetings, and an avenue to make comments as the project goes through the City’s review process.
